I'll be looking forward to the "short sharp little gag films" you will be releasing. I think that's exactly what this needs.

It was too long because of the empty space between the poignant parts of the episode. I don't just mean dead air, either. Parts of the dialog seemed directionless, and I found myself zoning out between gags.

It's being billed as a comedy, so it needs more emphasis on the comedy. The very beginning:

"Destination: Off-Course
ETA: Imminent"

I thought that was the funniest gag in the episode (and it really was funny). There are ghads and ghads of gut-bustingly hilarious animations on Newgrounds, all with varying degrees of production quality. The one thing they all have in common is the humor.

That having been said, this is some of the slickest animation I've seen on here in 9 years. Keep the laughs at the forefront of your future animations, and you'll have a staple on your hands.

Oh, wow. I saw that boney face on the front page and my heart stopped. For a second I thought this was an advertisement for a remake of Grim Fandango. I would literally dump a couple hundred into that.

Wow.

Okay. I guess that's what you get when you mix Dragonball, Pokemon, Megaman, Transformers, cocaine, and Voltron. Whatever, it was awesome.

It was looking very good...

I can't figure out why you dropped it the way you did. I was very much looking forward to where that was going. I tried to protect it, but I can't speak for the rest of the NG community. Next time, you'd better make it at least 3 times as long.

BritishMoose responds:

hey, it makes you want to watch the next episode, which i will make thanks to the feedback >xD

Funny

Very funny. It'll survive, and I hope to see lots more like this. It wasn't really funny until the lion started wigging out and the ferret(?) went into his spiel about socio-political ramifications. Then the lion tore the rat's face off. Great stuff.

Actually...

Actually, to the last reviewer, fetuses do have feelings. 8 weeks into maturation, the fetus has every organ necessary to sustain thought. The only difference is that they have not yet learned a language to manifest that thought into expression, so they make up their own symbols for the way that they feel by what they experience. IE, if all a fetus knows is the warmth of a womb or the very faint red glow against the stomache, they touch/see that and then associate the things that they feel with that sensation or sight. In a sense, they make up their own language to give their feelings reality and validity, just like babies do, only on a less complex level since they are in such a confined area.

Just wanted to clear that up.

As for the flash, yeah, it was okay.

Haha

Hey. I know Jesus. He's a cool guy. Owes me a new hairdryer, but he's a cool guy.

Anyways, I'm still laughing my ass off. Good job.

"Someone must do something about this blasphemy!"

"There's....really nothing you -can- do..."

"*sigh* You're right. I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor."

Hey

Don't let anybody tell you that it sucked. Drawing full animations with this much accuracy (it's not perfect, but it's far from bad) is a lot harder than bobbing gifs around on the screen. If you want to considered one of the greats here, though, all you have to do is spend more time on it. Make everything tighter, more frames, more attention to character detail, establish a mode (which would be a lot better than what FUNimation did when they were doing DBZ for America....ugh, terrible painting)... and yeah, better Ki effects (all of this just goes back to spending more time on it) and you'll get straight 5's and 10's. When Cajun said your Ki effects "sucked", I think he was probably just refering to the Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha. You know what a real one looks like. I think you just copped out and wanted to be finished with it, so you didn't take the time. ^_^

Majin-Ryan responds:

Thanks for the review, its true i should of taken more time with it, some of the areas were a little sketchy and the ki effects are bad, hopefully the 3rd episode should look better:D

Hmmmm

Let me start off by saying that I loved it.

Now... I feel like my interpretation on life is a little bit different. I feel that our ability to allow ourselves to lean against something (maybe not something stronger, but something, just to take an ounce of the weight off) makes us more prone to survival. In the same sense though, if we lean on something and it breaks, we are guaranteed to fall. Some of us choose to lean on walls, and some of us choose to lean on reeds. And some of us choose not to lean. I choose the first choice, personally, but I have a luxury that not many people have. I've already found a wall.

Hehehe

Well, that was cute. Definetly different from what I'm used to, and it's the first even watchable flash out of the last five submissions or so. It wasn't incredible, but you weren't trying to make it incredible. It was just a really cute short. Good job.

Gregg-Dix responds:

Wow, you captured what I was going for there. I'm glad you enjoyed it

Look at the nearest electrical socket and imagine it as a tiny screaming face. Now, try to unimagine it as a tiny screaming face. You can't. Merry Christmas.
